Apologizing for not having written in so long, noting that she has been busy correcting two sets of proofs; mentioning that she recently traveled to Aldeburgh, where she learned that Osbert has been very ill and noting that they have now determined that he has a Parkinsonian condition.

Kenneth Clark was an art historian and a patron of the arts. He was born in London, and educated at Winchester and Trinity College, Oxford, where he gained a second class in modern history.
